I’d tell you why, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. You’ll know after you watch it.
OK Go is Genius
Maybe not for this specific music video (though it is pretty dang cool in it’s own way)… but musical group OK Go is genius because they went from obscurity to the Super Bowl because of a super-creative music video involving synchronized dancing on (of all things) a bunch of treadmills! Love it!
Tea Light Stop Motion is Genius
Some of this stuff makes it on the site not because it inspires me to do great things… but because I marvel at the amount of creativity and work and sheer randomness of some of the things people come up with. This falls into those categories. It’s genius… but so dang weird/cool.
Dapper Chewie is Genius
We’ve all seen a ton of stuff done with Star Wars characters… but this one is so unique. So is Daper Bobba Fett.
Jackie Chan Beating Up Kids is Genius
Warning: Slightly NSFW (one swear)
Someone remixed a bunch of Ninja Kid movies with Jackie Chan movies and came up with the best thing I’ve seen in a while.
Working Lego Sniper Rifle is Genius
I don’t know that this one inspires me to do anything… I think it here just because it blows my stinking mind.
I love that he shows us the inner-workings of the gun… not that it helps me understand how it works. It’s just fun to watch and think, “I’m to stupid to watch this”.
Notes From Chris is Genius
These are notes that I post around New York City from a mysterious man named Chris. Chris wants to do tedious things with people. He also has lots of problems.
I love how these notes create a character in the mind of the reader. It’s like the creepy guy on the subway coming up to talk to you about his pants. If you didn’t know it was a joke, reading this you’d be grateful that it wasn’t 4pm at the time.
Inventor of Jonathan’s Cochlear Implant is a Genius
A truly amazing moment. That baby coming to life… that head snaping over to the sound of his mother. I don’t know how that mom kept from weeping. I’d have been bawling like… well… a baby.
Mr. Rogers was a Genius
In 1969, Fred Rogers appeared before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Communications. His goal was to support funding for PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, in response to significant proposed cuts by President Nixon.
This has been one of my favorite videos for a while. First off, I LOVE that Fred Rodgers is the same off screen as he was on screen. Secondly, I LOVE how by just being himself he literally influences direct, noticeable change in the demeanor, attitude and actions of the Committee Chairman. The Chairman goes from grouch to Walt Disney within 90 seconds. Genius.
